About JPG to PDF

JPG to PDF puts a set of images into one PDF, one image per page. Every page is drawn as you set it up, so you see the paper size, the margins and how each photo sits on the page before anything is created. Choose A4, US Letter or US Legal for something that will be printed or submitted, or let every page take the shape of its own image for something that will be read on a screen. On paper pages a photo can be fitted whole, with white bands where the shapes differ, or made to fill the page with the overflowing edges cut off, and Auto orientation turns each page to match its photo. JPG files are placed in the PDF with their original data, so they are not compressed a second time. Phone photos come out upright because the rotation the camera recorded is applied, and anything still lying on its side can be turned with one click. PNG, WebP, GIF and AVIF are accepted too.

How to use JPG to PDF

  1. 1

Drop your images onto the box, or click it and select several at once. Each one appears as a page, in the order you added them.

  2. 2

Put the pages in order by dragging them, with the arrows under each page, or with Sort by name for numbered scans such as IMG_0001 to IMG_0040.

  3. 3

Turn any photo that is still on its side with the rotate button under its page.

  4. 4

Pick a page size. With A4, Letter or Legal, choose the orientation and whether each image is shown whole or fills the page. The previews change as you go.

  5. 5

Set the margin and the file name, then press Create PDF. The file downloads straight away and can be downloaded again from the box underneath.

Frequently Asked Questions

Not JPGs. A PDF can hold JPEG data as it is, so a grey or colour JPG goes in byte for byte and the PDF is about as large as the photos added together. PNG, GIF and BMP are stored without loss as well. WebP, AVIF and CMYK JPGs are the exception: a PDF cannot hold them directly, so they are redrawn and saved as JPEG at high quality.
