Fancy Text Generator

Restyle your text in 51 styles, from bold and cursive to bubble letters, decorated names and emoji, ready to paste

0 characters

These are Unicode characters, not fonts, so they paste into bios, captions and display names on almost every platform. Handles are the exception: no major platform accepts them there. X counts most of them as two characters each, and screen readers may spell them out letter by letter or skip them. Check a styled post in the social media character counter before you publish it.

About Fancy Text Generator

The Fancy Text Generator rewrites what you type in 51 styles at once: bold, italic, cursive, gothic, outline, typewriter, bubble and square letters, strikethrough and underline, small caps, tiny text, wide text and upside down, plus decorated versions that frame a name in symbols such as ๊ง๊ง‚ and โ˜…ๅฝก or link its letters with hearts and stars, and emoji versions from sparkles and crowns to the clap meme and letters spelled in emoji. None of these are fonts. Each style swaps your letters for different Unicode characters, most of them from a block added in 2001 for mathematical notation, which is why the result keeps its look when pasted into an Instagram bio or a LinkedIn headline where no formatting is allowed. Accented letters keep their accents, emoji and punctuation pass through untouched. On X most styled letters count as two, so a styled post uses up the 280-character limit twice as fast.

The guide behind this tool

Fancy Text Is Not a Font: Where Unicode Bold Comes From and What It Costs

The bold letters in Instagram bios were encoded for mathematicians in 2001. That is why they paste anywhere, cost double on X and confuse screen readers.

How to use Fancy Text Generator

  1. 1

Type or paste your text into the box. Every style updates as you type.

  2. 2

Narrow the list with the buttons above it if you already know you want bold, cursive or bubble letters.

  3. 3

Keep styled text short if it is going to X, since most styled characters cost two of your 280.

  4. 4

Tap the row you like to copy it, then paste it into the bio, caption or post.

Frequently Asked Questions

The device reading it has no font with those characters. Bold, italic and cursive letters are covered by the system fonts on current iPhone, Android, Windows and macOS, but older Android versions and some smart TVs or car screens lack the rarer sets, and the black bubble and square letters are the most likely to fail. If your audience matters more than the look, stick to bold or italic.
