Split PDF takes one document apart. It works in two ways. Split into parts cuts the file into consecutive pieces: set a number of pages per file and a cut lands every that many pages, or click the scissors between any two pages to cut exactly there, which is how a scanned stack of five invoices becomes five invoices again. Extract pages does the opposite job and keeps only what you pick, by clicking pages or typing ranges such as 1-3, 7, 12-15, and saves them as one new PDF or as a separate PDF per page. Every page is shown as a thumbnail, with each part tinted and numbered, so you can see where the cuts fall before anything is written. Pages are copied rather than redrawn, which keeps text selectable and images at their original quality.

One shared font becomes twenty copies, a contents page can drag the whole document along, and edit history quietly drops out. Where the bytes go in a split.
Drop a PDF onto the box or click it to choose one. The file opens as a grid of page thumbnails, already set to split into one file per page.
To split into parts, type how many pages each file should have, or press In half. Then click the scissors between pages to add or remove individual cuts until the File labels match the documents you want.
To keep only some pages, switch to Extract pages and click the pages you want, or type them in the box. Choose whether they go into one PDF or one PDF each.
Click any page to read it full size if the thumbnail is not enough to tell where one document ends and the next begins.
Press the button. A single file downloads as a PDF. Several arrive together in one ZIP, and each can also be downloaded on its own from the list underneath.
Load the file and press the split button straight away. The default is one page per file, so a 12-page PDF becomes 12 PDFs in one ZIP, each named after the original with its part and page number added.
