The Username Generator builds twelve handles at a time out of adjective and noun pairs, gamer-tag vocabulary or invented syllables, and lets you fold your own name or a keyword into every one of them. Two settings do the work the other generators leave you to do by hand: the platform you are signing up for caps the list at what it accepts (15 characters on X and Snapchat, 30 on Instagram and YouTube, 39 on GitHub, or no cap at all if you are not signing up anywhere in particular), and the slider pins the result to an exact character count when you have one in mind, building names that add up to it rather than filtering out the ones that miss. Names are assembled from letters and digits, with the separator you choose, so nothing comes out carrying a character a sign-up form will reject.

No, it only produces candidates. Availability lives inside each platform's own database and changes by the minute, so the reliable check is the sign-up form itself. Copy a handful and try them in order; short word pairs are usually taken on the big platforms, which is what the pronounceable style is for.
